Data Profiles
In order to simplify the development of solutions, ARC-IT organizes standards into groups called profiles. A data profile defines the necessary ITS information and the high-level rules for exchanging this information with its peer entity, but does not define how the information is transported to the other entity. Much of this ITS information is defined as part of the ITS Application Entity, but may also include rules related to message sequencing, encoding, sessions, security (as used by the ITS application) and management (of the ITS application).
A data profile is paired with a communications profile to create a solution. Data profiles are re-used when practical, and are listed below.
