6.8.2.3: Monitor Pedestrian Safety Status
This process shall be responsible for sensing and evaluating the likelihood of a collision between a pedestrian and moving vehicles. The process shall base its detection on input from a process that receives positioning information. This process shall receive location data from other personal device processes and safety information concerning the location of vehicles in the vicinity of a crosswalk. This process shall determine the probability of a collision based on the pedestrian's current location and the location of moving vehicles. The process shall also receive safety warning from roadside systems. When an event is detected this process shall output the appropriate messages to another process in the vehicle to warn the pedestrian.
This process is associated with the Personal Information Device physical object.
