10.1.4.2: Revoke Connected Vehicle Device Credentials

This process shall generate the internal blacklist and Certificate Revocation List (CRL) and distribute them to other Cooperative ITS Credentials Management System (CCMS) components and end entities (devices, systems, applications participating in the connected vehicle environment). Once placed on the CRL, an end entity is in the Unauthorized state. Once placed on the blacklist, an end entity is in the Unenrolled state. That end entity will then be required to work with the Enrollment and Authorization processes to rectify the situation. This process shall inform other processes within the Connected Vehicle environment of the entities on the blacklist or CRL. This process shall provide the system operator with status information about the transmission of CRLs and blacklist information concerning connected vehicle devices.
