6.8.4.1: Get Traveler Wayfinding Request

This process shall receive traveler wayfinding requests from a personal device for information on pathways (e.g., sidewalks, bike lanes, moving sidewalks), open areas (e.g., pedestrian plazas, parking lots), indoor facilities, and crosswalks. The traveler may also subscribe to traveler information alerts (e.g., pathway closures, access updates, etc. ) based on the traveler's location and access capabilities. The process shall send these requests to the appropriate processes within the Provide Driver and Traveler Services function for further processing to generate responses. The interface to the traveler shall be provided through a separate process, from which input to this process originates.
