6.8.4.4: Provide Pathway Interface

This process shall provide the interface with pathway equipment and pathway communications. The process shall receive information from pathway equipment relating to the state and status of the pathwy equipment in order to support safe movement of travelers on the pathways. The process shall also receive information from the pathway equipment (e.g. electronic signage information) to support wayfinding. The process shall interface with pathway communications equipment to send and receive communications signature information. The process shall determine the location of the pathway communications equipment based on the received signature. The process shall send pathway equipment information to another process for presentation to the traveler.
