3.7.1: Manage MMV Safety Communications
The process shall exchange the current location and motion information of the MMV with other connected devices in the vicinity, including vehicles, other MMVs, personal devices, and field devices. The process shall use that information to calculate traveler and vehicles paths. The process shall send to another process warnings of any impending collision is detected. The process shall make use of map data to filter and interpret the relative location and motion of connected devices in the vicinity. The process shall use Information from the infrastructure, e.g., a TIC or CVRE, to detect non-equipped travelers. The process shall share speeds and coordinate maneuvers with adjacent MMVs or personal devices that on the same path (a 'string') so other connected devices recognize path predictions with other vulnerable road users in the string, thus improving safety.
