2.8.4.6: Exchange Border Clearance Roadside Information

This process shall collect vehicle and cargo credentials at a border crossing using short range communications. This process shall provide the credentials to the appropriate border inspection station. This process shall receive requests to distribute border clearance messages from inspection stations that include parameters governing how often and under what circumstances the messages should be sent. This process shall distribute them to approaching vehicles and freight equipment via short range communications based on the criteria provided.
